Obituary Glenn Rhea Young age 66 of Pennington Gap, VA was born July 3, 1954 in Lee County, VA and departed this life May 28, 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his father Willie "Bill" Young, mother Nelle Young Hawkins, brother Samuel O. Young and a grandson, Adam Underwood. Glenn is survived his partner of 21 years, Linda Simpson, children Glenna Young, Martin Young (Whitney), Michelle Akers (Brian), Anita Vaughn (Michael), step-children, Steven Simpson (Shania), Belinda Simpson, Monica Taylor (TJ), his siblings, Juanita Morgan (Wayne), Robert Young (Phyllis), Billy Wayne Young (Kay), and David Young (Belva), 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Glenn was of the Holiness faith. He loved to witness to people about the goodness of God. He loved reading and sharing the word of God and telling people the word on how to be saved. Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and the solitude the mountains brought. To know Glenn, was to love him. He was always willing to and ready to help anyone. Making people laugh, was a complete enjoyment to him. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Gary Hood and Roscoe Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.
