Geraldine Marie Martin Clouse, 86, of Rose Hill went to be with the Lord and entered her eternal heavenly home on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Lee County Community Hospital.

Geraldine was born on October 19, 1937 in Rose Hill to the late Chester and Bernice Minton Martin. Geraldine worked as a personal care aide for many years serving the people of Lee County. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Hubert "Shorty" Clouse; granddaughter, Tiffany Hensley; siblings, Leon Martin, GT Martin, Mike Martin, and Evaline Van Huss.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Ethel Hall and husband Darrell of Rose Hill, Janice Hensley and husband Billy of Rose Hill; sons, Jim Clouse and wife Darla of Rose Hill, Steve Clouse of Tazewell, TN, and Johnathan Clouse of Ewing; grandchildren, Allyson Clouse, Ashton Clouse (Cassie Johnson), Whitney Mullins (Travis), Brett Clouse, Travis Hall (Portia), Graham Clouse (Hollie), Zach Hensley (Kelsey); great grandchildren, Gunner Mullins, Colton Mullins, Addison Hensley, Roman Hall, Hadley Clouse, Ryleigh Hensley, and Thea Hall; siblings, Connie Larson, Dorothy Duff, Estel Martin (Janice); a host of nieces and nephews and her church family at Silver Leaf Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Silver Leaf Baptist Church (2716 Old Nursery Road, Rose Hill, Virginia 24281). A funeral service will follow with Pastor Tim Varnadore and Pastor Jim Whittaker officiating.

A committal service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Silver Leaf Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 AM. Brett Clouse, Travis Hall, Graham Clouse, Zach Hensley, Johnathan Clouse, and Travis Mullins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gunner Mullins, Colton Mullins, and Roman Hall.
