George Wright age 74 of Harrogate, TN was born in Tinsley, KY on Monday, July 28, 1941 and passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Ridgecrest Manor in Duffield, VA. He had retired from the family pest control business and was a member of the Mt. Hope Baptist Church in the Shavers Ford Community of Jonesville, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents Olen and Margaret Goodin Wright, one sister Maggie Mushgrove and one brother Bob Wright. He is survived by his wife Retha Wright of the home, sons Wayne Wright and wife, Shelia of Middlesboro, KY, George Wright, Jr. of Harrogate, TN and John Wright and wife, Deanne of Jonesville, VA and one daughter Debbie Murray and husband, Larry of Middlesboro, KY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ashley, Charity, Chris, Josh, Adam, Kenzie, Emma, Samantha, and several great-grandchildren, his brothers John Wright, Ed Wright and Vernon Wright and a sister Zella Stephens. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Millers Chapel Cemetery in Jonesville, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:30 pm Saturday to go to the cemetery.
