George Frank Delph age 73 of Jonesville, VA was born in Lee County, VA on Thursday, March 12, 1942 and passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home in Jonesville. George had been a farmer for many years. He was preceded in death by one son Albert Wayne Gibson, his parents Alex and Mae Stidham Delph, brothers Charles Delph and Elmer Hall Delph and his sisters Mildred Coomer, Lilly Russell, Corrienna Wade and Ann Wade. George is survived by his sons Frankie Delph and wife, Angie of Jonesville, VA, Tommy Delph and wife, Rebecca of Jonesville, VA, Bill Gibson of Dryden, VA and Steve Gibson of Williamsburg, KY, one daughter Carolyn Cope and husband, Larry of Jonesville, VA, nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Bascomb Gibson of Jonesville, VA, special friend Mike Lambert of Rose Hill, VA and special thanks to Gene Wade and Gladys Delph. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Clyde Moore officiating.
