Obituary Gedna Charlene Ramey, age 77, of Rose Hill, VA passed way October 9, 2020 in Middlesboro ARH, Middlesboro, KY. She was born on October 6, 1943 in Duffield, VA. She loved working outside and in her flowers. She loved her family and loved to be around people. Gedna is preceded in death by husband Harvey Crawford Ramey; her parents Roy and Phoebe Baker; her sons Earnest Ramey and Emory Ramey; brother Houston Baker and wife Betty; nephew Andy Baker; Niece Cleva Jessee; and a stepdaughter Joyce Ann Smith. Gedna is survived by her sons James Ramey and wife Renee of Appalachia, VA and Harvey Junior Ramey and wife Kimberly of Rose Hill, VA; stepdaughter Jean Darnell of Kingsport, TN; her grandchildren Levi Waddell, Lindsay Ramey, Logan Ramey, Erica Ramey, Taylor Ramey, and JE Ramey; her brother John Baker and Jean Bowers of Duffield, VA; her sisters May Jessee and husband Kelly of Duffield , VA Wilma Middleton of Dryden, VA, Bernice Miller and husband Kelly of Duffield, VA, Estelle Miller and husband Jay of Kingsport, TN; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 12-2 p.m. in the chapel of Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Rick Phillips officiating.
