Obituary Garrie Middleton Shuler, age 68, of Pennington Gap, VA was born January 9, 1952 in Dryden, VA and went home to be with her Lord Friday, April 17, 2020 at Mountain States Hospital in Norton, VA. Garrie is preceded in death by her father Merrel Middleton and her mother Billie JoAnn Middleton; two brothers-in-law Tommy Taylor and Jeff Witt; her nephew Eric Witt. Garrie is survived by her husband Phillip Shuler of 38 years; her son Merrell David Woliver and wife Sabrina of Jonesville, VA; her daughter Betty Ramey of Jonesville, VA; five brothers Robert Bob Middleton and wife Sherry of Dryden, VA, Melvin Bo Kelly and wife Teresa of Big Stone Gap, VA, Merrel Middleton and wife Katie of Dryden, VA, Willie Middleton and wife Judy of Dryden, VA and John Middleton of Dryden, VA; three sisters Barbara Taylor of Rogersville, TN, Mary Witt of Rogersville, TN, and Brenda Negron and husband Jorge of Raleigh, NC; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She loved her special dog Pixie. A special thank you to all her caregivers and to her Dr. Vanzee. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from 11:00 until 2:30 in the chapel of Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A private graveside service will be held at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA with Pastor Frank Howard and Pastor Josh Osteen officiating.
