Obituary Fred OBrien Dotson was born in Beckley, WV on Monday, May 9, 1932 and passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Fred was the Pastor of the Church of the Living God in Pennington Gap and a retired Coal Operator. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; Paul Ellis Dotson and Gertie (Egnor) Dotson; his father and mother-in-law, Herman and Bertha Langford. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Audrey Mae (Langford) Dotson; three sons, Mark Dotson and wife Gwen, Thomas Dotson and wife Martha, and Anthony (Tony) Dotson, all of Jonesville, VA; three daughters, Patty Pettit and husband Paul of Lincoln, NE, Sheilah Spivey and husband Bobby of Jonesville, VA and Denean Whittaker and husband Mark of Thomasville, GA; eighteen grandchildren, Amber Dodds and husband Ryan, Jonathon Pettit, Summer Woodard and husband Brandon, Brandi Gibson and husband Jarrod, Autumn Dotson, Justin Dotson and wife Jessica, Isaiah Dotson, Jason Dotson and wife Tara, Matthew Dotson and wife Angela, Candice Shuler and husband Jason, Josh Garrett and wife Kirstin, Summer Saylor and husband Dylan, Anthony Dotson, Audrey Dotson, Alexis Dotson, Erica Player and husband Michael, Melanie Bowen and husband Mason, and Bethany Deaton; twenty-one great grandchildren. He dedicated his life to church, family and work. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 29, 2018 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Church of the Living God in Pennington Gap with Brother Kermit Creech officiating.
