Eugene Roop born Saturday, November 10, 1934 in Cranks, KY and passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 in Simpsonville, SC at the age of 82. Eugene was the son of the late Harvey and Mae Roop, brother of the late James Roop, and husband of the late Mina J. Roop. He is survived by his sons Andy and Chris Roop, daughters Heather Smith and Stephanie Beggs, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his sister Emmalou Skurka. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Monday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Millers Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 AM Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
