Obituary Etta Marie Howard age 51 of Church Hill, TN was born in Pennington Gap, VA on Monday, July 18, 1966 and passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She had worked several years as an Admissions Director at Heritage Nurse Home in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was preceded in death by her father Roy Lee Sexton and her grandparents. Etta is survived by her daughter Christy Elliott of Knoxville, TN, her mother Doris Sexton and Don Woods of Church Hill, TN, four brothers David Oaks and wife, Denise of WV, Lee Roy Sexton and wife, Tammy of Church Hill, TN, Ralph Sexton of Kingsport, TN and Gary Jim Sexton of Church Hill, TN. She is also survived by three nephews Lee Roy Sexton, Jr., Donnie Sexton and Chris Sexton. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Thursday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the Thompson Settlement Baptist Church Cemetery in Jonesville, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 PM Friday to go to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the funeral home.
