Obituary Ernest Newton Hand, age 80, of Jonesville, VA passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. Ernest had lived in Jonesville his entire life. He was born December 15, 1939 in Jonesville, VA to the late John and Cora Hand. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents John and Cora Hand; his brothers Marion, Homer, Joe, Jim, Morris, and Rosco Hand; his sisters Ruby Miles and Ollie Miles. He is survived by his sons Danny Hand (Robin) of Jonesville, VA and Christopher Hand of Dryden, VA; one sister Eliza Carroll of Jonesville, VA; many nephews, nieces and friends; a special person throughout his life Mary Hand of Jonesville, VA. Visitation will be Monday, April 27, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Bobby Wells and Chuck Cress Officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Miller Chapel Cemetery in Jonesville, VA.
