Emmitt Hansford Parsons age 67 of Kemmer Gem Community of St. Charles, VA was born Friday October 20, 1950 in Lee County, VA and passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home. He worked in lawn maintenance and enjoyed using his metal detector, he was also a member fo the Darby Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Emory and Hazel Parsons, five brothers Danny, William, Jessee, Claude and Phillip, sisters Deloris Cochran, Della Parsons and Alberta Flanary. Emmitt is survived by his wife Violet Parsons of the home, three sons Jay Bryson, Jr. and Sharon of Jonesville, VA, Mitchell Dean Bryson of Pennington Gap, VA and Timothy Brian Bryson and Jessica of Big Stone Gap, VA, daughters Ranae Parsons and Scott of Big Stone Gap, VA and Charlotte 'Pooh' Bryson of Pennington Gap, VA, four grandchildren Tommy Lee Fleenor, Jr., Kaitlyn Ranae Fleenor, Haley Noelle Bryson, Santessa Webb, three great-grandchildren, one brother Earl Parsons and wife, Loretta of St. Charles, VA, two sisters Joyce Ewing and husband, Ronnie of Noblesville, IN and Geraldine Salyers and husband, Bill of Noblesville, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating.
