Obituary Emerson Bush, Jr. 85, of Keokee, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2020 at Lonesome Pine Hospital, in Big Stone Gap, VA. Emerson, Jr. was born on December 20, 1934 in Harlan County, Kentucky to Emerson Sr. and Martha (Trett) Bush who preceded him in death. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather (poppie). He was a faithful member and Deacon of Hurricane Old Regular Baptist Church in Wise, Virginia, a retired Coal Miner from Westmoreland Coal Company and member of UMWA local district 28. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Joan (Napier) Bush, infant son Ronald Keith Bush, two brothers Elvin Bush, Ansell Bush, and three sisters Arvilla Hughes, Hazel Short, and Luria McKnight. He is survived by his loving daughters, Katherine (Bush) Copeland and husband, Danny, San Antonio, Texas; Sherri Bush, Keokee, Virginia; and his loving son, Anthony Bush and wife, Joan, Graham, Washington. grandchildren: Andrea Leigh Steinman and husband, Adam, Franklin, Tennessee, William Harvey Short, Jr. and wife, Kelsey, Tallahassee, Florida; Regan Rachelle Finney and husband, Bryce, Tacoma, Washington; Jacqueline Renee Beauchamp and husband, James, Puyallup, Washington; Carrie Buley and husband Chris, McKinney, Texas; and Leslie McCallum and husband, Brandon, Corinth, Texas. Great grandchildren, whom he loved dearly: Audrey Ann and Adalynn Grace Steinman, Franklin Tennessee. Brennan James, Bennett David, and Emmy Elizabeth Beauchamp, Puyallup Washington; Austin Buley and Spencer Buley, McKinney, Texas; and Leah McCallum and Lindsey McCallum, Corinth, Texas. One brother, and brother in Christ Delmar Russell Bush and wife Ann, Closplint, Kentucky. Many loving nieces, nephews, family members church family, and friends. A funeral service will follow with Elders of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery in Keokee, VA.
