Obituary Elza Cole, age 81 of Dryden, VA was born in Blackwater, VA on Saturday, April 10, 1937 and passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing and Rahabilitation in Duffield, VA. He was a retired drywall installer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Sue Hounshell Cole; his parents, Elmer and Elizabeth Cole, his sisters, Nora Rutherford and Gloria Jean Hounshell. He is survived by two sons, Elza Richard Cole and wife Linda Sue of Taylorsville, MD and Ronnie Steven Cole and wife Glenda of Fredrick, MD; one daughter, Brenda Stangeland and husband Scott of Harpers Ferry, WV; one brother, Grady Cole and wife Bonnie of New Lebanon, OH and one sister, Ruth Greer and husband Beryle of Jonesville, VA; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several other extended family members. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM Tuesday with Steve Neff officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the McClure/Chambers Cemetery on Wilderness Rd. in Jonesville, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
