Elizabeth Garrett age 54 of Pennington Gap, VA was born in St. Charles, VA on Monday, January 30, 1961 and went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, September 28, 2015. She had lived in Lee County, VA most of her life and was a member of the RockLick Freewill Baptist Church in Pennington Gap. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a loving mother and nana. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Dale Garrett, her father Jerry Edgar, a brother Randy Edgar, her grandparents Lillie and Ulysses Sexton and John and Maxie Edgar. Elizabeth is survived by one son Roger Garrett of the home and his loving companion Logan Hobbs, two daughters Jessica Phipps and husband Adam of Jonesville, VA, Monica Yeary and husband Jason of Pennington Gap, VA, grandchildren Cody Maness, Joshua Phipps and Madison Phipps, great-grandchildren Emma Grace Maness and Mason Taylor. She is also survived by three brothers Billy Edgar and wife Michelle, Tim Edgar and David Edgar and wife Debbie all of St. Charles, VA; four sisters Linda Morelock of Jonesville, VA, Christy Harless and husband David, Cynthia Sutton and husband Brian and Susan Lanningham and husband James all of St. Charles, VA, special friend and caregiver Vera Dinsmore and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Sean Bailey officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Wednesday until the time of the service. The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Pennington Memorial Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Thursday to go the cemetery.
