Edna Geneva Oaks, age 90, of Jonesville, VA went be with the Lord Wednesday July 15, 2026 while at the Lee Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on February 4, 1936 in Fork Ridge, TN a daughter of the late Luther and Lula Mae Million Johnson. She was a homemaker and was noted to be a special wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed time spent with her family. She loved going on " spur of the moment" trips.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband; John El Oaks, one great-grandson; Henry Bud Randel, five brothers; Ed, Forester, TJ, Rc and Jim and two sisters; Vinnie Lundy and Agnes Johnson.

Edna is survived by 1 son; Ricky Oaks of Kingsport, TN. One daughter; Vickie Williams of Abingdon, VA. 3 grandchildren; Shawnee Cooper, Danielle Randel and husband Chad and Graydon Williams. Three Great-grandchildren; Vincent Rigsby, Emrie Mae Randel and Charlie James Randel along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members along with her friends.

A Graveside Celebration of her Life will be held Monday, July 20, 2026 at 1PM in the Lee Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid next to her Husband John. Boyd Parks, Jr will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. It is requested that those wishing to attend those services meet at Lee Memorial Gardens by 12:50 pm on Monday.
