Eddie Lee Ricketts age 63 of Pennington Gap, VA was born in Pennington Gap, VA on Monday, August 13, 1951 and passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mt. Home, TN. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and had worked 18 years as Quality Control Operator in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his father Zebedee Ricketts, mother Gracie Ricketts, brother Bobby Ray Ricketts, nephew Kevin Ricketts, sister-in-law Nina Faye Ricketts and brother-in-law Earl Rhymer. Eddie is survived by his wife Sherry Lee Ricketts of Dearborn Heights, MI, children Shelly Denise Ricketts of Dearborn Heights, MI, son Eddie Lee Ricketts, Jr. and wife, Kim of Taylor, MI and Tracey Lynn Ricketts Baughman and husband, Steven of Dearborn Heights, MI, his grandchildren Brandy Lynn Noe of Noblesville, IN, Steven Lee Noe of Elwood, IN, Joseph Cruz Gonzalez, Jr. of Elwood, IN, Cynthia Coleman Ricketts of Taylor, MI, Brandon Joseph Celsi of Taylor, MI, Madison Ruth Baughman of Dearborn Heights, MI and Kylee Nicole Baughman of Dearborn Heights, MI and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Ollie Ricketts Crabtree and husband, Bill of Pensacola, FL, Sue Ricketts Harris and husband, Arthur of Cranks Creek, KY, Wilma Ricketts Rhymer of Cranks Creek, KY, Kenneth Ricketts of Duffield, VA, Jerry Ricketts of Duffield, VA, Billy Ricketts of Pennington Gap, VA and 13 nieces and nephews and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating.
