Eddie Joe "Pott" Cooper age 73 of Pennington Gap, VA; went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 25, 2025. He was born January 13, 1952 in Lee County, VA to the late Thomas Franklin and Carrie (Stapleton) Cooper.

Eddie was a loving husband, father and papaw that loved to garden and was a master at corn hole. He was a member of the St. Charles First Baptist Church and had retired from VDOT after 34 years.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by, sisters; Betty Scott, Connie Petrey and Judy Cooper, one brother; Harold Cooper and grandchild in Heaven; baby Cooper.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Betty Cooper, sons; Eddie Wayne Cooper and wife, Elizabeth; Brian Kluck and Hope; Randall Kluck, Franklin Cooper and wife, Brittany; daughters; Karen Wells and husband, Rick, Kayla Seals and Billy Collins, grandchildren; Eddie, Jr., Christa, Gunner, Austin, Jordan, Brylee, Reilly, Kaydence, Jayden, Jaxon, Addison and Jase; two great-grandchildren, brothers; Thomas Cooper, John Benfield and wife, Judy and sister; Joyce Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating.

The committal service will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens.
