Ed Marcum age 78 of Rose Hill, VA was born Friday, May 14, 1937 in Lee County, VA and passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his home. He had been a farmer and had formerly attended the Lambs Chapel Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Houston and Nola Marcum and three brothers Willie, Herman and Doris Marcum. Ed is survived by his wife "Billie" Marcum of the home, one son Eddie Wayne Marcum and wife, Rita of Rose Hill, VA, two daughters Nola Sexton and Helen Marcum both of Rose Hill, VA. He is also survived by two grandchildren Anthony Marcum and Eric Marcum, two great-grandchildren Megan Marcum and Tiffany Marcum, a sister-in-law Vitis Marcum of Jonesville, VA and many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Jonesville, VA with Rev. Buster Mullins officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Wednesday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Wilson Cemetery in Rose Hill, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM Thursday to go to the cemetery.
