Obituary Dovie Rivers, 76, of Duffield went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2023 at Lonesome Pine Hospital. Dovie was born on March 12, 1946 in Lee County, Virginia. She was a life long resident of Lee County. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Dovie was preceded in death by her parents, Millard Earnest Rivers and Grace Margaret Carter Rivers; brothers, Wesley Rivers and Marlin Rivers; sisters, Ina Thompson and Betty Rivers. Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Boone Rivers of Sterling, Virginia as well as Wayne Rivers of Mount Carmel, Tennessee; Sisters, Mossie Elliot of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jewel Vyverberg of Idaho; along with several nieces and nephews. Dovies wishes were to be cremated and there will be no formal services. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Kingston Place for their care of Dovie.
