Dorothy Lee Morelock, age 86 of Jonesville, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday July 17, 2023 at her home in the Maple Hill Community.

Dorothy was born on December 16, 1936 to the late Bill and Josephine Wynn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Rex Morelock; three brothers: Roy, Leslie, and Patton Wynn; and one sister: Emma Sue Stewart; and two daughters, Sheila Darlene Byington (infant) and Dottie Joe Mullins.

She is survived by four daughters: Brenda Grubb (Curtis), Kathy Sharp (Rich), and Marcella Hall of Jonesville, and Donna McMurray of Bristol, VA; eight grandchildren: Robert Cody, Shawn Cody (Monica), Kehli Fleenor, Char Thompson, Jeremy Pendergraft (Courtney), Brian Pendergraft (Heather), Tamara Anderson, and Rachel Anderson; and seventeen great-grandchildren; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Powell Valley Funeral Home ( 29521 Wilderness Road, Jonesville, Virginia 24263). A celebration of Life service will follow with Dr. Charles Barrier officiating.
