Obituary Dorothy Sue Attebury, age 55, of Dryden, VA, passed away Friday , August 31, 2018 in the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. Dorothy was of the Baptist Faith. Dorothy is preceeded in death by her father Sherwin Gilbert; adoptive father Carl Thatcher; her mother Betty Thatcher; brother Gregory Thatcher; sister Brenda Lum; son William Holland, JR.; grandaughter Gracie Holland and Great-Granddaughter Lillian Dietz. She is survived by her husband Charles Attebury; her son Mark E. Holland of Pennington Gap, VA; adoptive son Jack McClusky of Pennington Gap, VA; two daughters Jaclyn Thatcher of Woodway, VA and April Thomas and husband Joe of Dryden, VA; three adoptive daughters Angela Witt, Sheena Davis and Rosa Wyatt; brothers Robert Thatcher of Duffield, VA, Carl Thatcher and wife Donna, Dean Thatcher and wife Myrna, Hyvis Thatcher all of Iowa; sisters Stella Burchette of Dryden, VA, Judy Maurer and husband Kevin of Hawaii, Angela Mendez and husband Sixto of California; one uncle Jeff Gilliam; on aunt Kathy Cope; 14 grandchildren Skyler Stewart, Katherine Thatcher, Rachel and David Howard, Hailey and TJ Edgar, Isaac Wyatt, Madison King, Abbiegail Milam, Latisha Milam, Jayden and Savannah Holland, Foxxy Stanley and Raelynn Pittman; three great-grandchildren Jazmine Howard, Dawson Dietz, Arianna Edgar; special cousin, Kay and Tim Gilbert; special friend Meda Delph. Dorothy is survived by several nieces, nephews, and many extended family and friends. A memorial Service will be held at the Pennington Gap Community Center in Pennington Gap, VA on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. by Tammy Phipps, Rev.
