Doris Ann Gibson age 70 of Kingsport, TN was born Sunday, July 7, 1946 in Harlan, KY and passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She had been a receptionist for Associate Orthopedics and a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Polly Howard and one granddaughter Morgan Littleton. Doris is survived by her husband Jesse Gibson of the home, one son Charlie Gibson and wife, Jennifer of Kingsport, TN and one daughter Summer Gibson of Abbs Valley, VA. She is also survived by four grandchildren Kegan Armstrong, Reichen Gibson, Hannah Reasor, Allie Reasor and three sisters Evelyn Walter of Abbs Valley, VA, Shara G. Jeppson of Rose Hill, VA and Nancy Grable and husband, William of Kingsport, TN. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Rose Hill Baptist Church in Rose Hill, VA. With Carlos Wolfe officiating. A visitation will be from 12:00 noon Monday until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Hensley Family Cemetery in Smith, KY.
