Obituary

Dora Mae (Fink) Hale of the Eastern Star Community, entered the New Year in the arms of her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday Morning, January 1, 2026.

The youngest daughter of the late Herbert and Lillie Fink, Dora celebrated her 93rd birthday December 11th.

A native of Sullivan County she was a 1950 graduate of Sullivan High School. Dora was employed in the yarn plant at Tennessee Eastman Co. for 10 years before becoming a homemaker. She was active in all facets as co-owner of her husbands business, Martin Hale Real Estate and Auctioneers. A member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church Dora enjoyed shopping, cooking, sewing, spending time with family, a good meal, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

In addition to her parents Dora is preceded in death by her husband, Martin H. Hale; two sisters, Lillian Chase and Fern Chase; two brothers, Marvin Fink (infant) and J.D. Fink; one niece, Pam Greer; one nephew, C.L. Chase.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Leshia A. Teague and husband Eddie of Jonesborough, Julia A. Mitchell and husband Doug of Kingsport; son, David M. Hale and wife Shannon of Eastern Star Community; grandchildren, Lindsey Ghiultu and husband Andrei, Daniel Teague, Madison Mitchell, Cade Mitchell, Morgan Mitchell and Rheanna Hale; great grandchildren, Lucas Ghiultu, Nicolas Ghiultu, Rylan Teague, Graceyn Teague, and Logan Teague; one niece, Kathy McKinley and husband Jack.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 108 Colonial Heights Road, Kingsport, TN 37663. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Pastor Bryan Moore officiating.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Eastern Star Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Bryan Moore officiating.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Colonial Heights Baptist Church by 12:15 PM for procession to the cemetery.

Dora Mae (Fink) Hale and her family are in the care of Tri-City Mortuary and Cremation Service.
