Donald Ray Parsons age 63 of the Puckett's Creek Community in Pennington Gap, VA was born in Tway, KY on Wednesday, March 19, 1952 and passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 at his home. He had worked for Phillips Tree Trimming Service, was an avid hunter and wrote poems. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Admant Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Lillian Parsons and an infant brother Gary Parsons. He is survived by his brothers Herman Parsons of Berea, KY, William Dudley Parsons and wife, Mirian of Sheridan, IN and special brother James Balser of St. Charles, VA, sisters Charlotte Cooper of Big Stone Gap, VA and Suzanne Cope of the Puckett's Creek Community, a special friend Rita Stevens of Abingdon, VA and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Admant Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Clem officiating.
