Obituary Don H. Sexton, age 68 of Pennington Gap, VA was born on May 23, 1954 and passed away February 24, 2023. Don was of the Baptist Faith and worked most of his life as a bus driver for Lee County Public Schools. While working with the school systems he touched many lives. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Eulis "Sam" and Effie Sexton, one infant brother, one sister Fleura "Irene" Head, and one step-daughter Pamela Jean Kennedy with infant son, one great-grandchild Harper. Surviving is his wife Mary Sexton of the home, three daughters Candy Collins of Sneedville, TN, Melissa Tritt and husband, Rodney of Pennington Gap, Vicki Rutledge and fianc, Jessie Middleton of Jonesville, and step-son Christopher Oakley and wife, Carla of Jonesville. Grandchildren Katelyn, Paisley, Taylor, Tyler, Taryn, Journey, Maddox, Alyssa, and D.J., great-grandchildren Braxton, Karyson, Jameson, Brantley, Alijah, and Eli. One sister Wanda Faye Collins of Jonesville, one brother Billy W. Sexton of Mongo, IN, with several nieces and nephews and many friends and loved ones. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday with Pastor Rusty Fitzpatrick and Doug Ogle officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.
