Dolly Jones, of the Lone Branch Community of Jonesville, VA passed away on November 27th at the age of 81. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Lone Branch Baptist Church. She was never idle and loved life on the farm. She loved cooking, working in her garden and was known for making the best molasses in the region. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Jones, her parents, Dorcas and Patton Wilder, brothers, Puttie Lee Wilder, Wiley Clay (Bud) Wilder and Ruben Harris, two sisters, Ressie Crawford and Billie Christine Robertson, great-grandchild, Maxwell Hines. Left to mourn her are her children, Judy Free (Roger), Hal Jones (Mary), Jan Harber (Jeff), Louise Jones (Jackie), and Debbie Jones (Paul Robbins). She is also survived by grandchildren, Stephanie Hines, Julie Minor (Jodi Mullins), Andrea Jones (Chris), Brooke Leonard (Josh), Adam Harber (Jaime), and Lauren Eastridge (Sam). Great Grandchildren are Harvey & Jackson Chadwell, Ian & Ella Hines, Allie, Emma Kate, & Sadie Jones, Alex Harber, and a great grandchild that will be born in the spring. These grandchildren will miss their Nannie, but will always have the sweet memories of her and an example of a life well lived and loved. She is also survived by two special sisters-in-law, Georgia Wilder and Roxie Orick, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors. Visitation will be at Province Funeral Home in Jonesville on Sunday, November 29, from 5:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M. Funeral services with the Reverend Dennis Jones and Reverend Jerry Murphree will immediately follow the visitation. Burial will be at the Jones/Sexton Cemetery in Rose Hill, VA on Monday, November 30th. Family and friends are to meet at Province Funeral Home in Jonesville at 10:00 A.M. to go to the cemetery.
