Dellis "Tex" Hensley age 86 of the Beatty Subdivision in Rose Hill, VA was born Sunday, May 11, 1930 in Harlan, KY and passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. He was a disabled Korean War Veteran for the U.S. Army and was also of the Pentecostal Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents William Henry Hensley and Mae Pace Hensley, step-father Harrison Fee, brothers Alfred, Doodle and Popeye Fee, sisters Dorothy Bailey and Jewell Spurlock. He is survived by his wife, Lora Jewel Hill Hensley of the home, sons Marvin and wife, Judy Hensley of Rose Hill, VA and Dellis and wife, Patricia Hensley of Nashville, TN, daughters Della Hensley of Ewing, VA, Regina Cox of Rose Hill, VA, step-son Fred Moore, Jr. and fianc, Debra Pace of Rose Hill, VA, step-daughter Lisa Burton and husband, Brently of Cookeville, TN. He is also survived by granddaughter Amanda Cox, grandsons Andrew Hensley and Brandon Cox, step-granddaughter Kayley Melton and husband, Jordan, great-granddaughter Ahliyana Rodriguez, one brother Nathaniel Fee of Corbin, KY and three sisters Jeanette Long and Dolly Burnette both of Rose Hill, VA, Bonnie Thomas of Ewing, VA and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Tuesday until the time of the service. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Jonesville, VA with Rev. Robert Charles Long officiating. Burial will follow at the Lee Cemetery in Rose Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Marvin Hensley, Fred Moore, Ronnie Smith, Bob Eldridge, Curt Wilder and Raymond Carter.
