Debra Arlene Swiney, 69, of Pennington Gap went to be with the Most High and her Savior King Yahusha Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.

Debra was born on April 24, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Paul Evans and Peggy Arlene Gibson. Debra had a rough life. One of her greatest accomplishments was this past December 29, 2022 when she accepted Yahusha/Jesus as her Messiah and King. Halleluyah! She was a 'tough cookie' who persevered many obstacles yet always filled the room with her personality and laughter, a walking miracle who is now resting peacefully till the trumpet sounds. She will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her nephew, Justin Lee Collier

Debra is survived by her son, Steven Clay Evans; daughter, Michelle Terry Power; grandchildren, Taylor Holbrook, Austin Mullins, Holden Evans, and Noah Evans; sister, Kimberly Elizabeth Collier; and husband, Emerald Swiney.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden with Pastor Timothy Robinson officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM.
