Obituary
Dean Mitchell Lawson, 69, of Pennington Gap ran into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side.
Mitchell was a Coal Miner of 20 years and owner of "Lawson Repair 0-35". He was a man of many hobbies than can be found on his YouTube channel Radiocom100, such as building and flying drones, CB Radios (his handle was "Mickey Mouse"), a deer hunter known as the Great White Tail Deer Hunter, and repairing computers and electronics. He also had a talent of playing the guitar that filled his home with calming tunes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Orbin and Betty Lawson and two brothers, Ronnie and Gary.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy of Pennington Gap, VA.
Two Children: Dustie Michelle Ely (Jason) and Jason JD Lawson of Roanoke, VA.
Four Grandchildren: Jason, Jonawa, Ariana and Crushawna.
Four Brothers and one sister: Charles, Wayne (Wanda), Danny (Reba), Kay and Earl (Brenda).
And many Nieces and Nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM.
