David Lee Wells, 49, of Dryden passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at his residence.

David was born on May 26, 1974 in Norton, Virginia to the late Jackie Ronald Wells, Sr. and Rebecca Jane Collier Wells. david was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend and will be greatly missed by all that loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Shiena Wells, Myah Wells, Addison Pennington, and Brooke Pennington; son, James Lee Curtis Brummitt; brother, Jackie Wells, Jr.; sisters, Tracey Herron and Carla Milam; caregiver and mother to his children, Ledawn Pennington; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel.

David will be laid to rest privately at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
