David Anthony Smith age 41 of Newport, TN and formerly of Lee County, VA was born Tuesday, April 22, 1975 in Big Stone Gap, VA and passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at his home. He was a mechanic at Four Star Auto and attended Admant Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Buck Moore. David is survived by his mother Cindy Moore of Pennington Gap, VA, his father James David Smith of Morristown, TN, grandmother Ruby Moore of Pennington Gap, VA, one daughter Hope Smith of Newport, TN, and special friend Joan Hudson of Newport, TN, one brother Chris Smith of Pennington Gap, VA, sister Jessica Smith and husband, Andy of Duffield, VA, two nieces Savannah Smith and Katlyn Smith and one nephew Logan Bryson. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm Saturday. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. Jim Clem officiating.
