David Eugene Barker, age 66, of Jonesville passed away Wednesday evening, January 1, 2025, while at the Lee County Community Hospital.

He was born on June 20, 1958, a son of the late Lloyd and Lily (Gunn) Barker in Lee County, VA. He was a Graduate of Jonesville High School and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by several cousins including Joyce Wiedbrauk (Rick), Josie Hopkins, Bill Gunn, Steve Gunn (Brenda) and a host of other family members along with many friends.

In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.

David Eugene Barker and his family are in the care of Powell Valley Funeral Home.
