Darrell (Duck) Johnny Yeary, 75, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Lee County Community Hospital.

Darrell was born on April 16, 1950 the late Henry and Loraine Yeary in Jonesville, Virginia. Duck graduated from Flatwoods high school, loved watching Westerns, and wrestling. He loved his family and will be deeply missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, James Yeary.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 52 years, Marie Yeary; one son, Robert Yeary (Sherry); three daughter, Lisa Horton (Lynn), Diane Light (Richard), Darlene Eldridge (Chris); a special aunt, Arlene Combs; grand children, Blake, Kayla, Reece, Emily, Lydia, Allison, Taylor, Kason, Avery; a niece, Peggy; as well as a host of great grand children, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 12:00 pm noon to 1:00 pm at Powell Valley Funeral Home.

A committal service will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery in Sugar Run at 1:30 pm with Pastor Justin McCracken officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
