Darlys Evans Jessee, age 93 of St. Charles, VA was born Tuesday, August 8, 1922 in St. Charles and passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Lee Health and Rehab Center in Pennington Gap, VA. She had worked as a housekeeper at Carter Hall Nursing Home and was a member of the St. Charles First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband Joe Evans, second husband Wright "Cat" Jessee, her parents Frank and Callie (Kirk) Yeary, four sisters Stella Burnette, Jackie Leonard, Mary Francis Yeary and an infant baby sister, three brothers Ishmal Yeary, John "Jay" Yeary and Frank Yeary. Darlys is survived by one son Freddie Evans and wife, Vicki of Indianapolis, IN, three daughters Rita Joe Willis of St. Charles, VA, Brenda Holman and husband, Charlie of Pennington Gap, VA and Patricia Scott Audia and husband, David of Jonesville, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Julie, Vicki, Ben, James "Ross", Tracy, Earl and Donna, six great-grandchildren, special niece Peggy Cradic and several other nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Cecil-Fry Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM Sunday until the time of the service.
