It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darlene Hatfield, 60, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and cherished friend, who left this world on Monday, September 7, 2026. Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1966, Darlene graced the lives of those around her with warmth and kindness throughout her 60 years.
Darlene was born in Hancock Co, Tennessee and later was a resident of Jonesville, VA, Darlene was known for her vibrant personality and her compassionate nature. She greatly valued family traditions and was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her laughter and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Those who knew Darlene will remember her love of nature, her delightful cooking, and her dedication to the community. Her spirit will live on through the many lives she touched and the memories she helped create.
Darlene was preceded in death by her loving parents, Otis Hatfield and Mary Elizabeth Hatfield; son, Larry Parks Jr.; brother, Randy Hatfield.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christy Parks and Misty Parks; son, Randy Parks; grandchildren, Nikki Patrick, Joshua Baldwin, Matthew Baldwin, Jordan Woodard, Dalton Parks, Hunter Jones, Harley Jones, and Haley Jones; great grandchildren, Callie Patrick, Addison Patrick, and Winston Jones; sisters, Linda Martin (Pat), Juanita Ellis (Steve), Lena Hatfield, and Janice Hatfield (Larry); along with several nieces and nephews.
Though Darlene’s presence will be deeply missed, her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who loved her. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated with no formal services.
Darlene Hatfield and her family are in the care of Powell Valley Funeral Home.
