Danny Gray Goins, age 74, of Pennington Gap, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Danny was born on Friday, September 2nd, 1949 to the late, Sam Henry Goins and Pearl Lawson Goins. Danny was a family man. He loved his children, siblings, and especially his grandchildren.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Paula Brown Goins; and siblings, Ella Mae Goins, John Henry Goins, Cathy Fields, Jack Goins, Alice Goins, Geniva Allen, Rita Fern Potter, Haline King, and Helen Warren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sarah Goins; sons, John Goins and wife Tabitha, and David Goins; grandsons, Roland Goins, Alexander Goins, Kayden Jones, and Levi Jones; his favorite granddaughter, Gracee Jones; brothers, Charles Goins and Clarence Goins; sisters, Shirley Orr and Brenda Ownbey; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow with Pastor Bob Richards officiating.
