Obituary Clyde 'Oragutan' Freeman, age 73, of Dryden, VA was born April 18, 1950 in Dryden to Ollie and Margaret Freeman and passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Norton Community Hospital. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, June Vanover Freeman; children, Clyde (Peejib) Freeman Jr and Mary 'Punkin' Freeman; his parents; siblings, Charlotte Looney, Barbara Easterling, Frank Freeman, Judy Short, Mike Freeman, Emery Freeman, Dianne Robbins Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Ennis 'Pokey' Freeman; daughter, Angela 'Angel' Reeves (Alex); 6 grandchildren; Aiden Reeves, A.J. Reeves, Adya Reeves, Aurora Reeves, Ares Reeves and Devon Freeman, siblings, Betty Jones of Fall Branch, TN, Robert Freeman of Woodway, VA, Carolyn Hughes of Stickleyville, VA, Larry Freeman of Dryden, VA, Ollie Freeman, Jr. of Dryden, VA, Danny Freeman of Monarch, VA, Kenneth Freeman of Dryden, VA, Shirley White of Dryden, VA; special nephew, Shawn Shirks; along with a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral Service will follow with pastor Matthew Clark officiating.
