Clarence S. Peters, Sr.
Born April 14, 1933 in Middlesboro, KY went to be with the Lord August 16, 2022 in Johnson City, TN after a brief illness. Clarence was a member of Admant Baptist Church. Lifetime member of Pennington Fire Department and Lee County Rescue SquadPennington Gap Unit. Veteran of the Korean War. Clarence lived in Pennington Gap, VA most of his life and retired from Piggly Wiggly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Walter and Ruby Peters, brothers Ralph Peters, Randall Peters, Paul Peters, Sisters Opal Ely and Deloris "Tootsie" Berry.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Lucile Peters, two sons Clarence "Rusty" Peters, Jr. (Susie) and Gerald Peters. Grandsons Derek Peters (Tiffany) and Justin Peters. Great-grandchildren Kylah and Caleb Peters. One sister-in-law Delores Peters and one bother-in-law Ronnie Berry.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA with Pastor Stan Lewis officiating.
