Christopher Lewis Cook age 57 of the Fleenor Town Community, Jonesville, VA was born in Logan, WV on Wednesday, April 30, 1958 and passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at his home. He loved to hunt and fish, and had worked in the coal mines until becoming disabled. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Cook. Christopher is survived by his mother Mary Ann Cook of the Stone Creek Community, a son Shawn Cook and wife, Keisha of Dryden, VA, three daughters Amanda Livesay and husband, Lynn of Pennington Gap, VA, Christina Cook of Jonesville, VA and Carol Light and husband, Chris of Woodway, VA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren Devin and Ashton Goins, Tryzden and Luke Cook, Reece and Isaiah Cook and Logan and Landon Light, three brothers Mike Cook of the Stone Creek Community, Gene Cook and wife, Lisa of Cawood, KY and Willie Cook and wife, Missy of Jonesville, VA and a sister Marilyn Putman of Greer, S.C. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Stan Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Wednesday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held 11:00 at the Bethel Cemetery on Sugar Run Road in Jonesville,VA.AM Thursday, October 29, 2015 Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Thursday to go to the cemetery.
