Christopher David Brewer age 45 of Ben Hur, VA was born Wednesday, July 21, 1971 in Pennington Gap, VA and passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. He had previously worked for Old Dominion Power Company and was a member of the IBEW Union. Christopher was a Veteran of the U.S. Army in Somalia and Germany. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bradley and Myrtle Brewer and Roy and Irene Anderson. Christopher is survived by his wife Vinia Brewer of the home, two sons Bradley Ray Brewer and fianc, Kenzie Crusenberry, future grandson Zeus Xavier Brewer all of Ben Hur, VA and Brandon Christopher Brewer of Ben Hur, VA, his parents David and Elaine Brewer of Duffield, VA, father and mother-in-law Willie and Faye Hall of Ben Hur, VA. He is also survived by one brother Robert Brewer and wife, Amy of Duffield, VA, one sister Melissa Vanover and husband, Doug of Kingsport, TN and a very extended family and many friends. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Chris Seal officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Thursday until the time of the service. A burial will be at a later date in the Klondike Community in Duffield, VA.
