Chris Lynn Newsome, age 56, of Big Stone Gap, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 22nd, 2024. He was born on Saturday, May 13th, 1967, to Dennis Harvey Newsome and Mattie West Newsome.

Chris was a hardworking logger who was dedicated to his craft. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Lynn Newsome, as well as his father, Dennis, and his mother, Mattie. Additional survivors include brother, Curtis T. Newsome, and only son, Dennis Edward (Eddie) Newsome.

A Graveside Service will be held to honor Chis at South Lawn Memorial Park 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, VA 23805 at 11:00am on Monday, April 8th, 2024 with Rev. Jerry Wicker officiating.
