Charles Thomas Diets, age 51 of the Dryden Heights Community of Dryden, VA was born in Norton, VA on Saturday, October 15, 1966 and passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. Tommy was an retired auto mechanic and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Henry Diets and Alice Thacker Diets. He is survived by his wife, Shannon Diets of the home; three sons, Joey, Dwayne and Justin Diets of Gate City, VA; one daughter, Amberly Diets of Fort Worth, TX and one step son Joseph and one grandchild, Sebastian Diets; two brothers, Harvey Thacker of Dungannon, VA and Roger Diets of Coeburn, VA and two sisters, Suzie Carroll and husband Kenny of Dryden, VA and Linda Malle and husband Rob of Big Stone Gap, VA; also nieces, nephews, a special niece, Tiffany Carroll and many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be announce by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the funeral home to help cover expenses.
