Charles Verlin Coleman, 80, of the Hickory Flats community went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2026 at Bristol Regional Medical Center after an illness.

Born March 12, 1946 at Leona Mines, VA, he was a son of the late Verlin (Cat) Coleman and Virginia Zion Coleman and retired from Powell Mountain Coal Company.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in by his brother and sister in law, Mike and Dru Coleman and brothers in law Kyle Hillman, John Laningham and Jimmy Laningham; Father in law and mother in law, Ralph and Dot Laningham,

Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Linda Laningham Coleman of the home; son, Aaron Coleman of Louisville, KY; sister, Saundra Hillman; sister in law, Dottie Satterfield and special brother in law Squeaky Satterfield; sister in law, Gail Laningham; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Jennifer) Hillman, Sherri Jessee, Amy Satterfield (Randy) Greene, Jason (Alena) Satterfield, LeeAnn (Nick) Polier, Eric (Alicia) Satterfield, Michael (Patsy) Laningham, Misty Laningham, Jordan (Emily) Laningham, Tabitha Laningham, Samantha (Thomas) Baker, Bradley Laningham, Sabrina Laningham, Clint Laningham, Brooke Cooper and Brandon Cooper; several great nieces and great nephews.

Graveside Services will be Tuesday October 13, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway with Pastors Doug Odle and Paul Davis, Jr officiating. Nephews and great nephews will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 PM for procession to the cemetery.
