Charles Carter age 83 of St. Charles, VA was born Friday, December 9, 1932 in St. Charles, VA and passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 and Lee Health and Rehab in Pennington Gap, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents J.S. and Bonnie Carter and six brothers Billy Joe, Clyde, James, Hershal, Everett and Carl two sisters Roberta Parsons and Shelby Jean Carter. Charles is survived by two sisters Dorothy Satterfield and husband Donnie of Pennington Gap, VA and Margaret Freeman of Dryden, VA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Thursday until the time of the service. A graveside service will follow at the Cecil Fry Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA. Family and Friends will server as pallbearers.
