Obituary Cecil Ray Parsons age 84 of the Sugar Run Community in Jonesville, VA was born Thursday, May 2, 1935 in Lee County, VA and passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at Lee Health and Rehab in Pennington Gap. He served two terms in the U.S. Army and was a member Hubbard Springs Christian Church. He was preceded in death by two daughters Donna Ray and Sherrie, one son Terry, parents George and Gladys Parsons, brother Wayne Parsons and wife, Brenda, sister Wedia Hensley, son-in-law Randy Harless, step-father Gay Hall and wife, Mabel. Cecil is survived by his wife Barbara Parsons of the home, one daughter Regina Harless of Kingsport, TN, two sons Kelly L. Parsons and wife, Kim of Jonesville, VA and Warren Parsons of Elizabethton, TN, fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Barbara Fortner of Jonesville, VA, special friends Don Glass, Lewis Norton and Don Rogers, several nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM Monday with Don Glass to do the eulogy. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Parsons Cemetery in Jonesville, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 AM Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
