Obituary Cary M. Flanary age 68 of St. Charles, VA was born Tuesday, March 28, 1950 in Kemmer Gem, VA and passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. She had been a homemaker, substitute teacher for the Lee County Public Schools where she also helped with special needs children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pennington Gap, VA and spent the majority of her time taking care of her husband. She was preceded in death by her son Chris Flanary, infant son Roy Flanary, parents Juanita Rose Burton and Roy Rose, sister Geraldine Cowan, brothers Elmer Lee, Earl Eugene and JC. Cary is survived by her husband, of 53 years and 7 months Larry Flanary of the home, two daughters Lori Olinger and the late Robert Olinger of Pennington Gap, VA, Danyell Cain and husband, Tim of Kingsport, TN, Richard Flanary and companion Lori Stapleton of Kingsport, TN, granddaughters Christa Murphy and husband, David of Richmond, KY, Ashley Burchett and husband, Michael of Jonesville, VA whom they helped raise, a host of grandkids and great-grandkids, sisters Violet Rose of Pennington Gap, VA, Iline Huff and husband, Gary of Dryden, VA, Janie Gibson of Dryden, VA, brother Jerry Rose of Indiana, special friend Sammy Carnes and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating.
