Obituary Carol Wire Mullins age 77 of Jonesville, VA was born January 1, 1945 in Bluefield, WV and passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 in Big Stone Gap, VA. Carol had taught for the Lee County Public School System for 20 plus years. She loved working int the garden, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Ernest Mullins, parents Allen and Ruth Wire. Carol is survived by two sons Jodi Mullins of Jonesville, VA, Rick Mullins and wife, Norma of Roanoke, VA, and one brother Benson Wire and wife, Susie of Floyd VA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, August 26, 2022 at Jonesville Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA.
