Carl Edward Maness age 43 of the Lewis Heights Community in Dryden, VA was born in Wise County, VA on Friday, March 30, 1973 and passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Maness, grandparents Creed and Olga Mae Maness and Willitte and Dorothy Harper. Carl is survived by his mother Judith Maness of Dryden, VA, a brother Charlie Maness and wife, Angela of Tazewell, TN, two sisters Kim Maness and friend Eugene Waddell of Dryden, VA, Britney Maness of Dryden, VA, nieces and nephews Shay Rogers, Shelby Bailey, Charley Maness, Ryan Maness, several great nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Angel Sweeney. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 15, 2016 at at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA. Burial will follow at the Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA.
