Bruce Calvin Bailey, Age 68, passed away on December 23, 2025, at his residence in Ewing, Virginia, after a brief illness in care of Hospice.

He was born January 22, 1957, in Wise County, Virginia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Betty (Shepherd) Bailey of Keokee, Virginia, and his first wife Sudie (Wade) Bailey.

He had been a previous coal miner, having worked for Westmoreland Coal Company at the company's Holton Taggart Mine. He had the biggest heart and was known for his kindness. He was liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed going to flea markets and taking gifts to family and friends. He was also an outdoorsman. Loved to hunt and fish and search for artifacts.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Nicholas Bailey, Big Stone Gap, Virginia; daughter Brittany Goins, Charlottesville, Virginia; grandson Kayden Hughes, Mineral, Virginia; brother Greg Bailey (Sharon) Keokee, Virginia; sister Sandy Buhi (Steve), Keokee, Virginia; long-time partner Rose Goins, Ewing, Virginia; and numerous nephews and nieces, cousins, other family members, and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at Powell Valley Cemetery on January 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
