Boyd Dale Martin, age 69, of Bean Station, TN, passed away on Monday, August 12th, 2024. He was born on Wednesday, March 23rd, 1955 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Boyd was a member of Lone Branch Baptist Church and found great joy in his faith. Boyd will always be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and love for his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Boyd is preceded in death by his father, Dale Martin, and mother, Leatrice Fultz Martin.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Catherine Sue (Scott) Martin; brothers, Tim and Steve Martin; sister, Jenna Owens; sister in-laws, Linda Depew (Randy), Betty Walker (Paul Britt), Leisha Carpenter (Bryan); brother in-law, John Scott (Lynne); daughter in-law, Misty Johnson; along with several extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 15th, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Powell Valley Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a Graveside Service will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Jonesville, VA with Pastor Marvin Matlock officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice, Loretta, Letictia, Pam, Tabby, and care givers Alyssa Whitney, Julie, and Mary.
